Customs had taken barely any time at all - a series of 'no, I don't have anything I shouldn't' and 'yes, I have a student visa' answers to questions, and then off to collect luggage and a cab. Some things had been shipped ahead, of course. Long experience with moving had taught Gunnar that if you were really moving, a life wouldn't fit in two suitcases no matter how lightly you lived.
Boarding school in the United States - at least his English was good. It would be interesting to live in one place for more than a year at a stretch, so he'd have to make sure he didn't get expelled. Not that there was usually much real danger of that, but it was worth keeping in mind. And actually living at school meant he'd have to be more careful with his dealings with peers.
Yes, it would all be very interesting.
